Job Description
The National Governing body for England's biggest female team sport, England Netball has been working hard over the past few years to put, and keep, netball at the forefront of women’s sport.
That hard work has paid off.
Not only do at least one million women play netball every week, but, thanks to our partnership with Sky Sports, the game is now one of few women’s team sports to enjoy weekly television coverage. Looking forward, our aim is to provide our members and partners with an even better service and sporting experience in the future. That’s where you come in.
Join us as a regional Partnership Manager and you could soon be leading both the participation and commercial elements of our Your Game Your Way strategy across a key partnership area.
The roles report to the Head of Programmes and Partnerships and are required in a number of locations across England.
Job Summary: Strategically lead both the participation and commercial elements of Your Game Your Way across a partnership area.
Activate national partnerships more locally ensuring mutual benefit, strong relationships and effective delivery of key outcomes.
Proactively identify and establish dynamic new partnerships that extend the reach of the sport and attract new audiences in a financially viable and commercially minded way.
Lead, inspire and empower a network of high performing delivery staff to achieve significant growth in Netball participation and a first class participant experience.
Establish and maintain an expert knowledge of the landscape & population across the partnership area identifying opportunities and ensuring Netball has a professional and respected reputation.
Key Tasks: Partner activation and management
Confidently sell the Vision of Netball to create a strong network of partnerships of regional significance leading to increased financial investment in netball and achievement of key strategic goals.
Client manage a series of key strategic national partnerships within the area to maximize the opportunities to benefit Netball.
Manage, develop and enable a series of strong, strategic relationships with leisure facility providers that increase participation and ensure a strong financial return.
Influence service directors and elected members of local authorities to negotiate strong partnerships that benefit netball and a broad range of social agendas.
Keep abreast of potential opportunities to develop national or more local/regional strategic partnerships of significance with an array of organisations.
Maintain a crucial, collaborative and strong working relationship with the Regional Chairs across the area.
Ensure clear and regular communication channels and facilitate appropriate support to maintain and enhance the relationship with Regional Management Boards, County Netball Associations and Netball Superleague teams.
Staff & Resource Management
Inspire, motivate and remotely line manage a team of high performing front line delivery staff to deliver an engaging menu of opportunities in their area that meets the needs of all participant groups.
Lead the assessment of the area to position EN financial and staffing resources appropriately to exploit participation and funding opportunities.
Empower the team of both Netball Development Officers and Netball Development Community Coaches to implement a tailored offer in their local area ensuring they are innovatively and efficiently trained to fulfil their specific role.
Product/Programme Implementation
Execute insight led strategies across the partnership area to ensure the right programme is implemented in the right place at the right time with the right financial and delivery model supporting it.
Proactively and strategically encourage and enable the growth of membership.
Implement strategies that maximise the return on investment via appropriate netball offers e.g. membership, merchandise, ticket sales etc.
Performance Management/Monitoring
Achieve (or exceed) a series of Key Performance Indicators relating to participation and income generation.
Produce and analyse data and information to provide a range of key stakeholders with reports to ensure continued engagement and collaboration.
Manage the team of staff to achieve (or exceed) key performance indicators relating to participation and income.
Budget Management
Manage & monitor specific budget (income and expenditure) to ensure operational delivery staff can function in an effective way and all finance policies and procedures are upheld.
Lead the development of funding bids to obtain resources to deliver the development strategy in the partnership area.
Strategy Development
Working with Regional and County Chairs, and Superleague Clubs, play a key role in Contribute to Regional planning and the annual assessment of these plans to shape subsequent annual action plans and priority areas.
Other
Be a key member of the Programme and Partnerships team, making sure everything is well thought through from multiple stand points ensuring it works strategically and on the ground.
Maintain strong internal working relationships to enable and ensure a good flow of information from all areas of England Netball to front line delivery and partners e.g. Coaching, officiating, insight, membership etc.
General
Attend meetings with external stakeholders ensuring you act as a positive role model, ambassador and advocate for the sport and the NGB, at all times nurturing and developing positive relationships that will promote and support the strategic development of England Netball.
Respect and promote the spirit and intentions of England Netball’s Safeguarding and Protecting Young People in Netball policy.
Abide by the provisions of the England Netball Equality & Diversity Policy.
Undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time that are consistent with the responsibilities of the post and the needs of England Netball.
