WHO THEY ARE & WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR//
A leading London based sports marketing / digital agency, who support global sports organisations and brands and place a heavy focus on video content. They’re looking for a Head of Data and Insight to join the senior leadership team and help set the vision to help meet the wider business goals.
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING//
Working with multiple stakeholders you will lead and manage the team who will analyse data and provide insight to their partners on their video content. You will lead the discussions as to what does and doesn’t work and how as an organisation you can reach unparalleled levels of engagement with the global sports audience. Analysis will include user behaviour, marketing campaign effectiveness and the impact on product development.
You’ll have a keen eye for what needs doing in the here and now, but will also look long term, understanding the bigger picture and how your role in data and analytics fits into the business as a whole. You’ll turn the current reactive approach into a forward-thinking data team, working one step ahead to keep on top of all partner data objectives.
Although this is a senior role, it is important that you are still hands-on in your approach, having the capability to develop and execute SQL queries/R scripts to surface data tables, developing requirements for data manipulation and working with software developers and database administrators to integrate feeds in the data warehouses.
Day to day you will work with your team to produce reports and interactive dashboards, as well as supporting communications with both internal and external stakeholders; understanding their business goals and working with them to find the right analysis projects to best support these goals.
THE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED//
- Must have experience in a similar role in a sports organisation or similar company with a global presence
- Experience building and managing a team
- Experience of bringing together disparate data
- Understanding of the technical aspects of data capture
- Experience with Big Query, Google Analytics/Google Tag Manager
- Ability to build statistical models and customer segmentations
- Must have proficiency in SQL, R and Advanced Excel skills
