Catering General Manager


Are you a catering professional with proven senior management experience gained in a large sporting venue or stadium environment? Would you like to take the next step in your career and make a move to sports venue with a fantastic heritage, superb atmosphere and extensive hospitality offering? If the answer to both these questions is yes, then the opportunity below may well be of interest to you!


Working closely with an iconic sporting venue in London, we're looking for a General Manager who has proven experience of delivering world class catering and hospitality to large volumes of people in a sports environment - ideally this would be in a stadium, however it could also be a large sports and leisure venue such as a racecourse or arena.


Leading from the front, you will set standards for service, ensuring that the entire customer journey, whether you're a standard ticket holder, corporate customer or VIP, is one that will never be forgotten. You'll have a natural flare for creativity and be able to come up with new and innovative experiences for customers that will keep event attendances high and ensure the maximum spend per head possible.


Management experience is essential for this role and you will be used to coordinating significant numbers of staff in a catering and hospitality department at large events.


Your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing all hospitality and catering staff on event days
  • Setting and maintaining standards, policies and best practices
  • Ensuring the delivery of exceptional service
  • Working closely with sales team to create hospitality packages and to formulate a sales strategy
  • Managing the departmental budget and keeping tight control of costs
  • Stock control and replenishment
  • Maintaining health, safety and food hygiene standards and managing all licensing requirements
  • Liaising with suppliers
  • Producing and creating menus
  • Maximising revenue
