We are exclusively retained on behalf of Portsmouth Football Club to recruit a Commercial Account Manager.

 

WHO THEY ARE & WHAT THEY’RE LOOKING FOR//

Portsmouth Football Club are a team on an upward trajectory through the English football league and are looking for a talented Commercial Account Manager to join their team at an exciting time for the club following the partnership with a new main club sponsor.

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING//

Supporting the Commercial Director, you will aid on the smooth delivery of club sponsor activations and partner rights as you build strong relationships with all club departments and external stakeholders.

You’ll make sure your sponsors and partners are engaged with the club, organising events for them and ensuring all elements of their agreements are met. Through setting up regular meetings with your clients you will seek to upsell their rights, building on the strong relationships already in place.

At the club you will play a key role as the main point of contact for the clubs main partner, ensuring successful delivery of their contract. With many stakeholders associated with the club you will work across a broad range of clients, including the management of the EFL sponsors rights.

Using your attention to detail you will keep on top of all client contracts at all times, understanding them intimately and knowing what has been completed, what still has to be delivered and reporting on activation success.

You will be a noticeable point of contact for sponsors and partners on all match days, ensuring the smooth running of their match day experience and being on hand to help with any queries that should arise.

 

THE SKILLS & EXPERIENCE YOU NEED//

  • Must have experience in an Account Management role
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and abilities to build relationships
  • You need an excellent attention to detail and the drive to deliver projects of the highest standard.
  • Excellent Word, Excel and PowerPoint skills
  • Must have a passion for sport and an interest in the sponsorship industry
  • You need an understanding of the commercial landscape in sport and entertainment
