As Head of Research I’m tasked with talent identification for senior recruitment assignments in sport and talent mapping for forward thinking sports organisations looking to get ahead of the talent curve.
My time is spent finding great people, through detailed research, ensuring that The Executives In Sport Group know where the very best people in sport, media and entertainment currently work and what might motivate them to move.
At the moment I’m heavily involved in senior commercial, media rights and digital searches across Europe for sports federations, broadcasters and rightsholders.
My biggest test
Probably finding an Executive Producer, with extensive football experience, to lead J League broadcast coverage in Tokyo. We spent several weeks mapping the very best football producers, globally, and were delighted when one of the very best people in the industry agreed to move to Japan, enthused by the challenge of driving Premier League broadcasting standards in a new region.
I’m fascinated by all things esports and have kept a close (over) watch on the sector’s rapid evolution and commercialisation. More and more senior commercial talent is looking to move into esports as they see sponsorship spend moving from traditional sports into the online gaming world. I’m thus building a network of influencers within esports and really enjoying supporting teams, publishers and event organisers to find great talent.
